Donorbox provides non-profit organizations with a fast, optimized donation payment system. It has a powerful form builder, allowing you to collect information from your donors such as their address, phone number, employment information, and anything else that you might need through custom questions. In fact, in the “Custom fields” section of your donation form editor, you are given the option of adding additional questions to your donation forms.
How to Add Additional Questions
Step 1
Log into your Donorbox dashboard and click the Edit link next to the form you want to add the question to.
Step 2
Click on the Custom Fields tab. Click the toggle button marked “Ask Additional Questions” so that it is On.
Step 3
Add your question and the format of the response you want. A maximum of 10 questions is allowed.
The format of your donors’ response can be a text box, a checkbox, a selection from a dropdown box or a radio button. You can set which screen you want the question to appear on. You can also make any of the questions mandatory.
Click the blue plus sign to add more additional questions – you can have a maximum of 10 questions.
Step 4
Click Save or Update when you are done.
If you need a response that contains text, like feedback or comments, then set the response type to Text.
Checkbox responses are a quick and easy option when you need to get a simple binary response from your donors. You can also require donors to check a certain checkbox in order to be able to submit their donation, such as requiring them to confirm they are at least 18 years old.
Dropdown responses are well adapted for questions with multiple preset answers, such as if you were to ask your donors for their t-shirt sizes in order to reward them for their contribution.
